About Y. Studio

With a 20-year career in architecture, HongYing May Tan became a full-time ceramicist in 2022, dedicating herself to exploring the language of architecture through clay - evoking poetry in form and texture. Her work also celebrates the unique translucency of hard porcelain, using light to reveal its quiet brilliance and create innovative, glowing sculptural pieces.

She also collaborates with her cousin, Z. L. Liu, a talented sculptor and ceramic artist, to create sculptural vessels that blend organic forms with artistic decoration, infusing them with elegance and playful personality while bringing joy and a sense of relaxation into everyday life.
